I had to uninstall v5 and reinstall v4 to get the full version of v4 back.
Follow up: haven't heard back from Arturia, but they seem to have worked out the problem, AL V is now active in ASC (alongside AL IV). The actual developer of this Mac application is Arturia Tous.
